Maintenance Technician - Fairfax, VA

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the property's buildings, equipment, and grounds by completing repairs, preventive maintenance, and resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete maintenance work orders and service requests.
  • Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry repairs.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and property inspections.
  • Prepare vacant units for new residents.
  • Maintain common areas, amenities, and grounds.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed.
  • Follow safety procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ year of maintenance, facilities, or property management experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and work in varying weather conditions.
